    Description

    Looking for an exciting new opportunity? We've got you covered Due to business growth, we need a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance Manager to join our team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Quality

    • Management of Quality system in order to comply with the requirements of the company's current quality certification
    • Recommend changes to the Quality system, procedures and work methods
    • Provide a point of contact for Quality issues raised both internally and externally
    • Support bid team in creation of tender documentation
    • Develop and implement quality strategies and action plans
    • Lead the implementation of quality policies and practices
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards
    • Audit, analyse and report quality performance to internal and external clients
    • Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organisation's quality risks and financial costs
    • Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of the organisation, of the impact of emerging quality issues
    • Develop and implement quality management systems to continually improve the organisation
    • Train staff at all levels on quality issues and responsibilities
    • Set organisational quality targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery

    Environment

    • Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans, to ensure corporate sustainable development
    • Take the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services
    • Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy
    • Lead the implementation of environmental policies and practices
    • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
    • Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies
    • Carry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organisation's environmental risks and financial costs
    • Promote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organisation, of the impact of emerging environmental issues
    • Implement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility and address any issues arising
    • Develop and implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of the organisation on the environment
    • Train staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilities
    • Set organisational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery

    Communication

    • Communicate constructively and actively seek information
    • Provides technical expertise, where necessary
    • Liaise and work with relevant parties to ensure all work activity is planned, organised and carried out to quality standards
    • Use of discretion when entrusted with sensitive information

    Safety

    • Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members
    • Wear protective items of clothing when on site
    • Conducts quality and environmental audits - minimum 1 per half year
    • Report any accident, incident, damage or near miss to Supervisor
    • Ensures own and colleagues safety at all times
    • Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members
    • Take responsibility for your own health and safety and adhere to all the Company health and safety procedures and policies
    • Identify and escalate any hazards, near misses in line with the Company's reporting procedures

    Operational Optimisation

    • Recommend improvements to working practices
    • Willingness to help; assist other team members as required
    • Ensures contractual responsibilities are observed and adhered to

    Site based working

    • Work away from time to time, this requirement shall be defined by the operational needs of the business

    Required Skills:

    • 5 years of ISO audit experience (ISO9001, 14001 and LCA preferred).
    • Relevant qualification in quality and environmental practice
    • Confident IT user, Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work to a budget
    • Excellent time management skills
    • To work effectively in a team
    • Degree in chemistry preferred
    • Vocational training courses related to water hygiene
    • Previous exposure to the Water Hygiene sector
