    Job Description: Front Office Manager

    Location: Missenden Abbey Hotel and Conference Centre, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

    Salary: Competitive

    Hours: 40 per week 5 over 7

    Responsible to: Hotel Manager

    Overview

    Missenden Abbey Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Office Manager to lead our front desk team. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction, manage daily operations efficiently, and uphold the standards of our historic and prestigious establishment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guest Services

    Oversee all front desk operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

    Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.

    Ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.

    Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the reception area.

    Team Management

    Recruit, train, and supervise front office staff.

    Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.

    Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

    Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

    Operational Management

    Monitor room reservations and ensure accurate guest information.

    Manage the hotel's reservation system and optimize room occupancy rates.

    Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to address guest needs.

    Implement and maintain standard operating procedures.

    Financial Management

    Prepare and manage the front office budget.

    Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate billing.

    Analyse financial reports and performance metrics.

    Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs.

    Administration

    Maintain up-to-date records and reports.

    Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

    Handle administrative tasks related to guest services, staff management, and operations.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in front office management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.

    Proven experience in managing and leading a team.

    Skills

    Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

    Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Guestline).

    Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

    Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
