    Community Host / Leisure Assistant - The Bridge Academy - Haggerston, London

    Job Type: Part Time - Zero Hour Contract

    Salary: £8.60 - £11.44 per hour

    We take pride in streamlining the process for schools to rent out their sports and leisure facilities. Our Community Hosts are dedicated to delivering outstanding service to groups utilizing these spaces.

    Job Purpose: To greet our Hirers and their groups, ensuring timely setup of school facilities for their enjoyment during visits.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Provide a top-notch experience for our hirers, ensuring a positive and memorable visit. Assist with facility setup for rentals and school events, from arranging sports equipment to activating lighting.
    • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the school premises, ensuring everything is tidy for the next day. Our goal is to minimize additional work for school staff.
    • Ensure the security and safety of the school premises by handling gate and door access securely during the shift.
    • Conduct regular health and safety checks, reporting any issues promptly to uphold school standards and ensure a safe environment for all.
    • Receive comprehensive training to understand all aspects of the role, including familiarization with the school site, safety protocols, and customer service.
    • Flexibility is key; the Community Host may assist with various tasks beyond the listed responsibilities to support the school, hirers, and the Vivify team.

    Process:

    1. Complete a brief questionnaire and submit your CV

    2. Expect a telephone interview if shortlisted

    3. Successful candidates will undergo and have the cost covered for an Enhanced DBS check

    4. Confirmed start date with training scheduled
