    Job Description

    We are in search of a highly skilled, commercially astute, and driven professional to join our expanding procurement team in the United Kingdom in the role of Lead IT Category Manager. In this capacity, you will oversee a range of IT-related expenditure categories, lead strategic sourcing endeavors, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, all while championing innovation and driving cost efficiencies in the IT realm. It's a dynamic, high-energy environment that promises no shortage of challenges and excitement.

    Responsibilities:
    - Collaborate with the UK&I business to spearhead new technology ventures and digital transformation initiatives, engaging closely with senior stakeholders including Programme Managers/Directors, Finance personnel, and CIO/CTOs.
    - Work closely with global, regional, and business unit teams, serving as a subject matter expert and exemplar to aid in achieving collective objectives.
    - Devise and execute strategic sourcing strategies for IT-related spending categories to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational excellence.
    - Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders such as IT managers, business leaders, and finance partners.
    - Provide support to Technology teams in business case development, leveraging your expertise to ensure thorough commercial and contractual evaluations.
    - Drive technology rationalization and consolidation efforts to achieve quantifiable cost savings.
    - Uphold compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
    - Bring in substantial experience from past roles in global settings.
    - Negotiate solid, advantageous supplier contracts.
    - Innovate, develop, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    - Monitor and analyze IT expenditure data.
    - Keep abreast of IT industry trends and market conditions, utilizing market insights to drive cost efficiency.

    Qualifications
    - Highly motivated and resilient self-starter with a proven track record of project management and results delivery, adept at managing competing priorities.
    - Possesses a high level of integrity and can operate effectively under pressure and amidst ambiguity.
    - Meticulous attention to detail.
    - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    - Demonstrated experience in IT procurement and sourcing, particularly within the Financial Services or Technology sectors.
    - Proven ability to craft and execute large-scale strategic sourcing plans.
    - Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
    - High emotional intelligence and confidence.
    - Exhibits strong cultural awareness and ideally, experience in global settings.
    - Proficient in ERP systems and procurement-related software.
