    WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU? Salary £45k plus DOEOffice based role34 day's Holidays + Bank Holiday's THE BUSINESS Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Lead Design Engineer for our client based in Teesside.

    The company in question are one of the leading independent lifting equipment suppliers.

    Our client has been operating within the industry for almost 30 years and have continued to grow their reputation and client list during this period.

    The successful applicant would need to showcase their experience with 2D and 3D draughting and modelling utilising Autodest Inventor. Kowledge and experience using STAAD.Pro would be an added advantage. The role would suit a candidates with experience of Eurocode 3 as a minimum.

    This role will see the individual develop concept designs into final fabricated products and equipment both for internal and external uses.

    As a member of the technical department, the candidate will support the expansion of the department as we seek to increase our in-house design capabilities and expand our offerings to our clients.

    You will be able to get involved at all levels of the business, from managing project costs to solving manufacturing problems on the shop floor.

    THE ROLECreate concept designs and working drawings with the use of 3D and 2D Autodesk packagesDevelopment of Multi-Sec Engineered Lifting Systems rangeDevelopment of Crane Systems rangePrepare internal design and fabrication documentsLead other design engineers and troubleshoot day to day issues within the departmentProduce project deliverables i.e.

    calculations, reports, drawings etc.

    Assist in the scheduling of projectsEnsure job packages are correct and are circulated in the correct mannerDocumentation controlAssist in pricing and client quotationsParticipate in industry events and networkingAny other relevant duties within the technical department, as directed from time to timeTHE PERSON Charted engineer registered through relevant institution ie.

    ImechE, IstructE (required)Experience with 2D & 3D draughting using Autodesk Inventor (required)Experience working with and designing lifting equipment (required)Experience with deam design to Eurocode 3 as minimum (required)Knowledge and experience of STAAD.Pro would be advantageKnowledge of BS EN 13001 & BS EN 13155 would be advantage TO APPLY Please apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Johnny Hutton who is leading the search.
