    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Employee Relations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the employee relations strategy for our company. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and maintaining strong relationships between employees and management. We believe in providing a workplace that is safe, treats employees with fairness and respect, and enables every employee to achieve their personal best. As a leader in our organization, you will also be responsible for providing coaching, guidance and partnership to our HR team and other key stakeholders.

    In this position, you will leverage your extensive experience and knowledge of applicable policies, regulations, and industry best practices to establish and follow appropriate protocols for employee relations issues and investigations. As a thought leader in this area, you will also have the opportunity to develop and deliver educational programs to create awareness and training, fostering a workplace free from behavioral issues and distractions. You should be an innovative HR professional with a passion for coaching employees and managers and creating teams that work together and win together. You should be comfortable working with any level of employee or manager, have a knack for reading situations, navigating sensitivities, and finding creative solutions to people's issues. You are highly collaborative and truly value the contributions of your partners.

    Your Impact

    • Develop and implement an effective employee relations strategy that aligns with the company's goals and values
    • Coach and mentor ER team members to build their capacity in handling employee relations matters effectively
    • Educate, coach, and guide leaders on our performance management and elevation efforts, ensuring adherence to our philosophy and values
    • Provide leaders with outstanding advice to elevate performance and capability across their teams and respective organizations
    • Participate in and conduct investigations on employee relations matters and policy violations to evaluate and effectively address issues
    • Partner with PBPs, legal, and other investigative parties as required to thoroughly conduct investigations and reach the best outcomes for our organization and employees
    • Lead quarterly business reviews of case outcomes, trends, and data analysis to VP+ business partners aligned to the Sales, Product, Marketing, FIN, and G&A functions
    • Act as an advocate for equitable and fair treatment, ensuring our practices continue to align with our company's core values - Disrupt, Execute, Inclusion, Collaboration, Integrity

    Your Experience

    • A minimum of 10+ years of Employee Relations experience, with at least 3 years in a senior manager or director-level role
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and drive results
    • Proven track record in coaching and training to elevate leadership capability around performance improvement, fair and equitable practices, and respect in the workplace policies
    • Extensive experience with employment law principles and effective risk management practices
    • Demonstrated experience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including manager/employee conflicts or complaints, performance management, behavioral and conduct issues
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and analyze data
    • Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization
    • Effective listener and persuasive communicator able to influence actions and outcomes

    Preferences

    • Experience and knowledge of US legislation and law
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience -a legal degree is highly desired or equivalent military experience required
    • Experience and knowledge of EMEA (UK/Germany) & Canada legislation and law
    • Legal degree preferred

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $169,300/yr to $232,750/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here
