    The Role

    We are recruiting for a new Capture and Bid Manager to growing our growing sales team.

    The role will play a key role in the enablement of the Sales team through the implementation of best practice process regarding capture and bid management.

    Working to increase the quality, P-Win and pipeline of opportunities, this role will be responsible for supporting the Sales team across medium and large-scale opportunities (100K – 10M) across Public Sector, Central Government and Defence.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Capture Planning : Developing a strategic approach for pursuing each opportunity, including assessing the competitive landscape, analysing client requirements, and determining the company's value proposition.
    • Proposal Development : Leading the development of compelling proposals and bids in response to requests for proposals (RFPs).
    • Solution Development : Workshopping solutions with SMEs, translating SOR and client business outcomes into compelling consultancy and software solutions.
    • Bid Management : Managing the entire bid process from start to finish, including creating bid schedules, assigning tasks to team members, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and overseeing the quality of writing.
    • Relationship Management : Building and maintaining relationships industry partners, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the bid process. This may include attending industry events, networking, and conducting meetings with key decision-makers.
    • Opportunity Identification: Identifying potential business opportunities that align with the company's capabilities, goals, and target markets. This involves monitoring frameworks, industry news, and networking with potential clients.
    • Risk Management : Identifying potential risks and challenges associated with pursuing a particular opportunity and developing mitigation strategies to address them. This includes assessing financial, legal, technical, and operational risks.
    • Marketing Alignment : Work with the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager to align strategic marketing, events and socials activities to influence and impact through Account Based Marketing.
    • Social Values Champion : Ensure all proposals submitted adhere to the UK Gov Social Value model, and Envitia Social Value / ESG priorities.
    • Budgeting and Cost Management : Developing cost estimates and budgets for proposed projects, ensuring that proposed pricing is competitive while also meeting the company's financial objectives.
    • Knowledge Management : Documenting lessons learned from past bids and sharing best practices with to continuously improve the capture and bid management process.

    Skills Required

    • Sales / Bid Profession . Experience as a Capture Manager, Bid Manager, or similar role within a consulting organisation.
    • Public Sector Procurement Best Practice . Demonstrated experience in dealing with the UK Public Sector and a solid understanding of the procurement processes and requirements within this sector.
    • Technical Literacy . Strong technical literacy, with the ability to grasp and articulate the benefits of complex technical products, data capabilities and related services to a non-technical audience.
    • Written Communication . Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in crafting and presenting compelling written proposals.
    • Growth Strategy . Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Self-Reliant . Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

    Security Clearance Requirements

    The successful candidate will be required to go through an SC security clearance.

    Location

    The role will be required to be in our Horsham offices 2 days a month as well occasional travel to industry conferences, seminars, and workshops when required.
