    Senior/Principal Climate ChangeConsultant

    London,Bristol

    Do youhave experience as a Climate Change Consultant and are based inLondon/Bristol?

    Our client provides environmentalsolutions for their clients by working with their architects andengineers to support the development of proposals that haveenvironmental design measures fully embedded within them and theyare looking for a Senior/Principal Climate Change Consultant tosupport external clients in the transition towards to Net Zero andlow carbon economies. They also develop GHG inventories and produceGHG and climate change assessments for EIA and planning and adviseon setting emission reduction targets.

    EssentialRequirements

    • An understanding of UKand international climate legislation and policydrivers
    • Understanding and experience of climateprojections such as UKCP18
    • Experience ofdeveloping GHG inventories and considering climate change impactsincluding lifecycle, production, and consumption-based footprinting methodologies
    • Experience ofEnvironmental Impact Assessment(EIA)
    • Experience in the technical management oflarge and complex climate changeassessments
    • Track-record in the governmental orconsultancy sectors
    • Detailed knowledge of thelinkages between energy and climatechange
    • Knowledge and experience in climaterisks, mitigation and adaptation

    DesirableRequirements:

    • Sector-specificexperience (i.e. aviation)
    • Knowledge of carbonmarkets, offsetting and renewableenergy
    • Experience in sustainabledesign
    • Knowledge of the ESG reporting,including an understanding of the TCFDrecommendations
    • Experience of corporate GHGfoot printing and reporting
    • Understanding ofimpact assessment approaches and techniques including water risk,climate change, biodiversity
    • Experienceintegrating inputs from diversedisciplines
    • Published work in the climatechange field.

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant A-Levels orequivalent
    • BSc or higher in an appropriatescience-based discipline
    • Membership of relevantprofessionalinstitutions
