    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a 'technical bridge' between technical operations and core development teams within the business, translating field requirements and improvement opportunities into development needs, as well as providing internal training to support, professional services and pre-sales engineers on new product features and enhancements.

    Responsibilities:

    • 3rd level support for deployed solutions and technologies
    • & support the product demo & benchmarking lab infrastructure, ensuring it is up to date, fully documented, and configured to best show the company's products and solutions
    • out solution benchmarking and optimisation, in support of both product development and pre-sales
    • issues with the relevant development teams within the overall business.
    • opportunities for automation and/or proceduralisation of tasks to improve technical function.
    • of both internal and customer-facing documentation, knowledge base articles and "play books".
    • regular operational and management updates regarding current field issues, associated workarounds, expected fixes

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    Skills:

    • in Linux operating systems and infrastructure
    • in scripting with Python and/or BASH
    • with high performance storage and technologies/protocols, such as NVMeOF, NVMe over TCP, RDMA, RoCE, PFC/ECN, iSER, SRP, iSCSI, etc is highly desirable
    • building, supporting or maintaining a clustered or parallel filesystem such as Spectrum Scale, Lustre, Quantum Stornext, BeeGFS, etc. is highly desirable
    • with any of the following tools is highly desirable: CTDB, Pacemaker/Corosync, CI tools, Git, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Prometheus & Grafana
    • of task and message queue services such as Celery, RabbitMQ and Redis is desirable
    • of Python web development frameworks such as Django and Flask is desirable

    Profile:

    • experience of working with cloud infrastructure as a service
    • experience of working with enterprise hardware
    • team work and internal-communication
    • Be flexible and autonomous
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Great documentation skills
    • Proficient in English, written and spoken

    CONTRACT INFORMATION:

    • Type of contract: Permanent contract
    • Starting date: As soon as possible
