    Cost Administrator - United Kingdom - Balfour Beatty plc

    Description

    We are looking for a Cost Administrator to join our project team, working on a Joint Venture in our major projects division as part of the HS2 project in the Birmingham Area.

    You will play a key part in reconciling site and financial data and ensuring our documentation is collated for review and audit.

    You will work as part of a small team, with the combined purpose of ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

    What you'll be doing

    • Collation of audit evidence (PO, delivery ticket, invoice, remittance, timesheets, etc)
    • Assist with the collation and response to audit samples
    • Perform project reconciliations in order to provide control
    • Assist with cost assurance and compliance checks across a range of cost processes
    • Capturing findings and feeding those through to Site, the Cost Assurance Team and the Finance Team
    • Improve compliance with processes through the checks and feedback above and helping to communicate key messages to site

    Who we're looking for

    • Strong administrative skills: organisation/prioritisation and picking things up quickly
    • Strong data and numeracy skills - proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Computer literate experience of Microsoft Office packages and navigation of sharepoint
    • Ability to use ERP system to gather data
    • Oracle ERP experience an advantage but training will be given
    • Good communication skills and team building skills to be able to gather information effectively and improve processes and compliance going forward
