JOB PURPOSETo organize production plans according to demand and quality standards.
The post holder will assume responsibility to manage and maintain the production plans to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
This role is key to ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient operation of our production processes.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate production workflow for one or multiple productsPlan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimise delaysDetermine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demandSchedule shift according to production needsMonitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budgetAddress issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruptionObtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)Prepare and submit status and performance reportsAdministrative tasksCollaborate with all departments to ensure any changes to plans are communicated and managed effectivelySKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a production planning roleExcellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principlesExperience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systemsStrong analytical skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communicatorINTERPERSONAL SKILLSExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong stakeholder managementAble to prioritise in a fast paced environment where commitments may regularly changePro-active with a can-do attitudeWorks well in a team or equally unaided
