Job overview
The Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) at Whipps Cross Hospital is a busy 61 bedded medical admissions unit including ten monitored beds. We see a wide range of complex acute conditions on the unit that include level 2 patients (NIV)
We also staff an Ambulatory care unit. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and hardworking individual who has the experience and knowledge in facilitating development and teaching for team of nurses and healthcare support workers on AAU and Ambulatory Care Whipps Cross Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Assist in the delivery and development and of a progressive learning environment for all nursing staff including nursing assistant within the Acute Assessment Unit.
Support the development of post registration nursing staff in including nursing assistant by assisting with the co-ordination of educational activities and assessments of learning within the clinical setting.
Actively promote and contribute to inter-professional learning activities with the unit.
Act as an effective role model and provide professional and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable.
Involvement in the development of policies, protocols, guidelines, standard operational procedures, and patient information.
