    CarStore Coventry - Prep Centre

    Production Leader

    £36,400 with £5,000 bonus and pension, critical illness, life assurance, single health care, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, exclusive company discounts on used car purchases, leasing deals and aftersales services

    We are looking for a production leader to join our preparation centre team in Coventry.

    Working alongside another production leader you will have responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of reconditioning used vehicles is completed in line with production and cost targets to the very highest standard. This is a varied role and the successful applicant will be able to effectively apply themselves to all areas of the preparation process.

    As the production leader, your role will include:

  • Managing workshop production and flow of vehicles through the mechanical repair process
  • Managing cosmetic production and the flow of vehicles through the cosmetic repair process
  • Providing technical support and diagnostic insight to issues identified with vehicles
  • Resource planning to ensure that production targets are met
  • Ensuring the productivity of the workshop\bodyshop is in line with KPIs
  • Completing associate reviews ensuring that they are on track with their objectives
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the team's work is completed to the highest possible quality
  • Attending daily production meetings to highlight any issues and report performance

    • In order to be successful within Car Store as a production leader, we'll be looking for:

  • Leadership experience in a similar role or workshop control/service leader/bodyshop leader position
  • Good technical knowledge of vehicle repair process
  • An innovative way of working, with the desire to develop yourself and others
  • A full, manual UK Driving Licence
  • Amazing communication skills – both verbal and written
  • A knowledge of a range of vehicles, and an interest in cars
