    Service Manager - Glasgow, United Kingdom - With Kids

    You will be responsible for the range of services GCIL offers to disabled people, including our Support services forthose who use self-directed support to manage their own support needs, our Housing and Employabilityservices.

    Working closely with the Head of Operations, the Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that GCIL servicescontinue to develop in line with our strategic aims, that they are sustainably funded, and that they providehigh quality, efficient and effective services to those who use them.

    The successful candidate will play a senior and supervisory role in the operation of our Esmond Street Service: a 22place supported living project for older people with learning disability and/or complex needs. The successfulapplicant will have experience of support planning and review systems, and will be in a position to work on ashift-rota basis. She/he will have experience in a supported living setting, the ability to work on their owninitiative, and have a positive, empowering and flexible approach to the support of people with learningdisabilities. The post requires the successful candidate to be involved in the supervision and development ofthe staff team; including training, developing systems, mentoring and auditing. She/he should also possess anappropriate qualification, or be willing and able to achieve this within an agreed timescale.

    You will build policy, campaigning and participatory capacity within GCIL, shaping this as a new function in theorganisational structure and building the knowledge and expertise necessary to exert influence on key decisionmakers in the statutory and third sectors.

    This role will provide and maintain an analysis of the policy and legislative environment, identify the implicationsfor disabled people and their carers, establishing opportunities and methods for participation andinfluence.

    You will support the development of specific campaigns on matters that affect disabled people, and where appropriate,work with others to jointly assert the case for change that benefits disabled people.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a quality focused individual to join Cornerstone as a Quality Improvement Officeron a full-time, permanent basis.

    This role can be based in any of our main offices (Aberdeen, Dundee or Glasgow), or part of our hybrid working model.If opting for hybrid, we would need you to live within a reasonable commute of Aberdeen, Dundee or Glasgow.There will be occasions that we'll need you to travel to other Cornerstone branch locations (travel expenseswould be reimbursed as set out in Cornerstone's expense policy with travel reimbursed by HMRC legislation).

    The Role

    Cornerstone is one of Scotland's largest charities with over 40 years' experience providing great care andsupport for adults and children with various support needs across Scotland.

    As an integral part of our Continuous Improvement team, you'll drive positive change across the organisation byproviding expert guidance and support on all quality improvement initiatives.

    You'll uphold all legal, regulatory requirements, and standards while promoting a culture of continuous learningwhilst driving innovation and improvement.

    About You

    What we'll need you to bring: -

    • Proven experience of working within the Health & Social Care sector
    • Have confidence in complexsituations, using your communication skills to effectively raise concerns and find constructivesolutionKnowledge and experience of providing high quality support services in a person-centred environment thatempowers individuals to reach their potential
    • A strong understanding of the Health and Social CareStandards, relevant legislation and regulations.
    • The ability to analyse and interpret statisticaldata
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills
    • A creative, innovative and imaginativeapproach to tasks and adaptable to change
    • The ability to produce high-quality, accurate work to strictand tight deadlines
    • Effective negotiation and team working skills with the ability to work on your owninitiative
    • A professional care or health qualification
