Within the UK, Worley Consulting has a team of geotechnical specialists based within our Glasgow and London offices.

    As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (and SME), you will be directly involved in leading ongoing projects, contributing to bids, and developing broader technical solutions for the business.

    This will include supporting Worley in the development of offshore wind, oil and gas and subsea structures/cables specific design and analysis digital tooling.

    You'll also assist with growing our offshore wind and subsea geotechnical capabilities within Worley whilst working with our wider offshore wind and in-house advisory teams to provide a range of services and expertise to clients.


    You will be:
    Delivering geotechnical engineering and analysis on current projects whilst interfacing with teams based in multiple countries/regionsProviding SME services to our customers (e.g. via Owner's Engineering-type contracts)

    Supporting working groups for developing new geotechnical engineering delivery digital toolsContributing to Worley opportunities, bids and proposals for future work You will have:
    A degree and chartered status in civil/geotechnical engineering (or equivalent)

    Relevant industry experienceDemonstrable track record working in offshore or subsea sectorHave strong knowledge in one of the following areas:
    Geotechnical special studies such as monopile design using PISA method, suction caisson design, FE based pile analysisGeotechnical / structural design and analysis (e.g.

    drivability, fatigue, mudmat, gravity base, pipelines/cables, anchoring-floating etc...)Geotechnical planning including survey specification, geotechnical testing specification, 3D Ground modellingGeophysical including survey specification, sea mobility analysis, scour study, GIS modelling, geohazard analysisWorking knowledge of existing digital platforms for geotechnical design (GRLWEAP, Opile, Abaqus, ANSYS, Plaxis 2D-3D, Lpile etc...)
