Learning Support Assistant - Stokenchurch

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs and you will be working closely with teachers and other support staff.

You will provide tailored assistance to help students overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential

Role:
Learning Support Assistant

Start Date:

ASAP

Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons, focusing on specific learning goals and targets.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
Support students with social and emotional development, promoting independence and self-confidence.
Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions in line with school policies and procedures.
Collaborate with external professionals, such as educational psychologists or speech therapists, to ensure holistic support for students with complex needs
Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant (Unqualified then you are still welcome to apply)
