    Description

    Are you passionate about environmental sustainability in the construction sector?

    Do you have previous experience in providing environmental advice and working with BREEAM projects?

    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound sustainability knowledge working to the highest standards of 14001 and BREEAM and be able to demonstrate previous experience in delivering environmental support to construction projects across London. You will be able to provide technical expertise in managing environmental risks on site, identifying opportunities and provide support to project teams across the company.

    What will the role look like?

    • Champion the implementation of the business sustainability strategy and develop and monitor project commitments
    • Assure compliance with the KpH 14001 Environmental Accreditation and Management Systems.
    • Provide technical advice and support to the project teams, clients and sub-contractors to identify and implement effective environmental management procedures and identify opportunities to implement best practice
    • Support our project teams to embed our client's and our own sustainability requirements within the project
    • Review, advise and recommend environmental training for project staff and operatives
    • Engage with the workforce around environmental issues
    • Effectively engage with clients and internal/external stakeholders
    • Ensure innovation and best practise are developed, implemented to address environmental issues and learning shared across the business
    • Liaise with the project, and maintain compliance with the company standards, policy and targets.
    • Undertake environmental inspections of the project on a regular basis
    • Promote the reduction of energy use and carbon emissions by identify industry best practise and recommending where changes or improvements can be made
    • Coordinate the delivery of environmental deliverables on the projects
    • Support the business in driving our ambitions to push the boundaries of sustainability,

    What skills & experience are we looking for?

    • High level of personal drive and commitment, with effective goal setting ability
    • Be capable of meeting deadlines and prioritising activities
    • Able to take strategic views of the environmental requirements and agree and implement resultant plans.
    • Positive approach to the challenges of change, help others to become receptive and responsive to change
    • Be technically familiar with an extensive range of environmental processes and procedures
    • Logical and well organised with the ability to prioritise
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all management levels and to build and maintain good working relationships
    • Understanding of the requirements of ISO14001 Management Systems and be involved with external audits
    • Experience in delivery of BREEAM and similar sustainability assessment schemes

      Qualifications
    • Lead Environmental Auditor Role (Desired but not essential)
    • Membership of IEMA, IES or IEEM (minimum of practitioner or equivalent desired)
    • Relevant qualifications in Environmental management, sustainability, environmental sciences or similar
    • BREEAM AP

    What benefits you can expect

    A starting salary of £30-£35k based on experience
