- Lead in planning, designing, delivering and evaluating current and future leadership development programmes, initiatives and events. Working in collaboration with external consultants/SME's as required whilst ensuring a modern approach to learning and development and that programmes are flexible and versatile in the way they are delivered.
- Design and deliver programmes, workshops, webinars and other learning and development interventions using a variety of approaches.
- Provide an internal consultancy service, analysing business needs to provide specialist advice and solutions.
- Plan, allocate and supervise the workload of the L&D team.
- Design, develop and implement departmental policies and procedures taking account of organisational priorities, stakeholder engagement and compliance.
- Work with the Group Senior OD Manager and HR Advisors to develop robust training solutions for people managers across the business.
- Support current and new engagement initiatives designed as part of the Group's wider Better with Bellway sustainability strategy, including the flagship priority of becoming an employer of choice.
- Manage relationships and work collaboratively with external training providers and consultants.
- In collaboration with key colleagues and SME's, support the development of comprehensive induction programmes for staff at all levels.
- Collate and monitor feedback on learning interventions and development programmes to support continuous improvement across initiatives for future cohorts.
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced in-house OD or L&D team including knowledge of modern people development and change strategies and how to apply these in practice.
- Experience of working with a Learning Experience System (LXP) or other similar database is essential.
- Experience of leading a team is desirable.
- Excellent project management and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills, with the ability to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.

- Office based role, Monday to Friday (flexible working with 1-2 remote days available).

The Role
The Senior Learning & Development Advisor reports to the Group Senior OD Manager. The role is responsible for providing specialist advice and internal learning consultancy services as well as supporting the delivery of OD initiatives and leading on the design and delivery of specialist training programmes. The role also supports with the effective onboarding and induction of new starters across the company, encouraging a positive experience for all new starters and hiring teams internally.
The post holder will supervise the day to day activities of the team of L&D Advisors.
