Alexander Steele are delighted to be partnered with a highly reputable, global Food Manufacturing business based in Leicestershire to onboard a new Management Accountant.
The successful applicants key focus is to assist the operations team in preparing, analysing and reporting financial performance against budget and targets.
Core Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the database used for the calculation of the standard product cost for each product manufactured on siteUsing production quantities, calculate a weekly result for the site and compare actual usage to standard usage for raw materials consumption and labour hoursAnalyse the variances to provide insight to assist in the efficient management of the production processProduce month end site P&L account analysing accounting data from SAP and completing with month end accruals, prepayments and recharges as requiredExtract and produce reports to explain and analyse variances against standard for manufacturing and labour losses and and fixed costs to budgetProduce factory budget and reforecasts in accordance with the methodology of the groupCalculation of PCU for NPD as requiredAdhere to group accounting procedures and internal controlsAbout you:Previous experience in a similar role within FMCG or Food ProductionACCA/CIMA/ICAEW Qualified or equivalentNewly qualified, QBE or Part-qualified will be consideredExperience in using SAP is desirableThe ability to extract, manipulate, analyse and report data in Excel and Access is essentialRemuneration:Paying circa £45k25 days Holiday + PublicBUPABonus plan of 5%Company Pension as standardThe role does allow for hybrid working, however, the successful applicant must foster close relationships with key stakeholders, including the manufacturing team on site.
