Job Description

Broster Buchanan is supporting a high growth Plc to recruit a Financial Controller into their UK Head Office team, based in Leeds.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a senior role and forms a key part of the Head Office leadership team and will provide exposure to stakeholders across the business.

With responsibility for a small, but high calibre team, your role will include:

Key responsibilities

Production of monthly and annual financial accounts
Creating the Group quarterly reporting pack
Continual review of processes and controls, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary
Planning for the year end audit report and quarterly reporting
Implementing any accountancy policy changes
Managing the statutory requirements of all group entities
Liaising with external auditors and any other external advisors as required
Maintain a detailed cashflow forecast
Maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Review of capital expenditure
Work closely with transaction processing to ensure appropriate management of ledger balances with a particular focus on the ageing of the ledgers
Reconciliation management, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any issues, ensuring there are no 'surprises'
VAT compliance for all group entities
Oversight and sign off on payroll
Ad hoc project work

Requirements

Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
An eye for detail and an ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data
Full understanding of UK corporate entity statutory requirements and UK VAT legislation
Leadership experience and sophisticated communication skills
