- Financial Operations Management: Oversee and manage daily financial operations, ensuring all financial activities are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal standards.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain comprehensive financial records using Xero accounting software. Applicants must have proven expertise in Xero to manage all aspects of bookkeeping effectively.
- Manual Journals: Prepare and manage manual journals.
- Grant Management: Coordinate with staff to maintain accurate time sheets and manage grant claims, specifically with Innovate UK, ensuring all claims and documentation are processed timely and correctly.
- Expense Audits: Conduct audits of staff expenses and mileage claims to ensure compliance with company policies and accuracy of the claims.
- Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts to be reviewed during board meetings, including detailed financial reports and analyses to aid in decision-making processes.
- Liaison: Act as the primary financial contact for the company, liaising with financial advisors and other external parties to ensure optimal financial strategies are implemented.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting (CPA preferred)
- Demonstrable experience with Xero accounting software is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong ability to use cloud based financial tools for bookkeeping, SaaS revenue recognition, management accounts etc.
- Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office; familiarity with cloud based financial tools for bookkeeping, SaaS revenue recognition, management accounts such as Xero, Fathom, Maxio, Excel
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- 25 Bookable annual leave days per year.
- Those 25 days do not include Bank Holidays.
- Strolll will close for a period of time over Christmas, this is additional to the 25 bookable days.
