    Tech Lead - Remote - £90k - Lambda - Postgres - MongoDB - TypeScript

    One of the UK's leading health & fitness brands is now search for a Tech Lead to lead the charge in revolutionising their digital product offerings. In this pivotal role, you will enhance their technical operations by streamlining managerial tasks, optimising sprint workflows, and developing strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Engineering. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that demands a strong balance of managerial prowess and technical expertise.

    Location:

    Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote setup or opt for a hybrid arrangement from their Team Valley offices. This position reports directly to the Head of Engineering.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentor and oversee a talented team of software engineers, driving the development of scalable and innovative solutions.
    • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of excellence.
    • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to enhance sprint efficiency, ensure timely delivery, and effectively address any impediments.
    • Serve as a key link between the development team and the Head of Engineering, ensuring alignment and clarity across projects.
    • Play a vital role in resource allocation and sprint planning, ensuring optimal staffing and maintaining agility within the team.
    • Foster a transparent and communicative environment, promoting continuous feedback and engagement across all levels of the technical team.
    • Assist in strategic roadmap planning and goal setting to ensure continued progress and success.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 5 years in software development with at least 1 year in a leadership role, preferably within a tech-focused company.
    • Proven experience in mid-level management roles within software development, ideally in tech scale-ups.
    • Strong technical foundation with expertise in software architecture, cloud technologies (AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, SES), Serverless architecture, Postgres, MongoDB, and modern programming languages such as TypeScript.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, BDD, DevOps principles, and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Exceptional project management and communication skills, adept at engaging with both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of motivating and guiding teams towards achieving excellence.
    • Passion for staying updated with the latest technological advances and a keen interest in continuous learning and development.
