    Digital Communications Lead (Maternity Cover)

    Rewilding Britain wants to see rewilding flourishing across 30% of Britain, reconnecting uswith the natural world, sustaining communities and tackling the interconnected nature andclimate emergencies.

    We influence policy, inspire public action and catalyse joined-up practical and financialsupport to help establish rewilding across Britain's land and seas.

    Through our rapidly growingRewilding Network we're bringing together a community of rewilders - from land managers andfarmers, to charities, community groups and national parks - to inspire and support each otherto create a wilder, more prosperous Britain.

    We are now seeking a Digital Communications Lead (maternity cover) who will develop and deliverour digital communications to build awareness, understanding and engagement with RewildingBritain and our mission.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing charity anddirectly contribute to the growth of the rewilding movement.

    To lead the development and delivery of Rewilding Britain's digital communications output, toinform, engage and activate audiences in support of our charitable aims.

    In line with our organisational objectives, lead on building our profile, reputation andengagement on social media with key audiences.

    Plan and deliver inspiring and effective social media content, including as part ofengagement campaigns, fundraising appeals, and initiative launches, and in support of ourpartners and members.

    Ensure that Rewilding Britain is using the best possible tools and techniques, by drawingon your own knowledge of the digital landscape and trends and staying up to date with changingtrends.

    Guide colleagues across the organisation to capture and create social content in order tomaximise opportunities to engage others with rewilding
    Take responsibility for monitoring social media and community building, ensuring prompt andaccurate responses to social media enquiries.
    Support with the development of social media and other digital policies and style guides.

    Optimise email marketing by A/B testing content regularly to maximise performance and bymaking design and content improvements as the digital landscape evolves.

    Use audience segmentation in support of campaigns, drawing on data from our CRM.
    Website content & maintenance

    Work with the Content Manager and other team members to create new and updated web contentin line with the Content Strategy, that is engaging, accurate and on-brand.

    Ensure web content is optimised for SEO and usability, advising and training staff on bestpractice.
    Contribute to team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool, including liaisingwith agencies where relevant.
    Track, monitor and report on digital activity to prove impact and maximise effectiveness.
    Oversee/brief colleagues and freelancers, where relevant, to deliver discrete pieces ofdigital content for Rewilding Britain's channels.
    Contribute digital expertise to wider organisational projects and activities in support ofour objectives.

    At least three years' experience in a digital management role in a comparable organisation,overseeing digital communications to further organisational objectives.

    Experience in managing and optimising website content.
    Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital monitoring tools.
    In-depth experience and understanding of current social and digital communications tools,landscape and trends.
    Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
    Skills in creative content developments, such as video and photo editing, ideally usingAdobe Creative Suite.
    Skilled digital planner, with a track record of inspiring and leading on digital.
    Proactive, creative and flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

    Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and autonomously from home, while alsoworking collaboratively as part of a tight-knit team.

    Highly organised, able to manage a content schedule and to plan and deliver digitalcampaigns.
    Has a passion for digital content and what it can achieve.
    This role is as maternity cover (9 months with possibility of extension).

    This is a full time 5 day (35 hour) a week position, but we are open to a conversation withcandidates who are seeking a role of 28-35 hours a week.

    Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part timeroles), rising to 30 days over 5 years.

    A generous employer-matched pension scheme is alsoavailable.
    We are a virtual team who work from home and/or co-working spaces. We will support you toachieve a suitable virtual working environment. Some meetings are held face to face acrossBritain, so a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is desirable.
