    We are the only research company to visit and speak with the key players (including stakeholders such as importers, producers, distributors, retailers, duty-free operators) in over 160 countries globally each year.

    The IWSR is therefore the only data analytics business able to combine category, consumer and industry research with a unique understanding of the Beverage Alcohol market.

    We don't just gather data, we provide the context to make business strategy become reality.

    We are a friendly, informal and fast-growing company, and this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the consumer arm of the consulting team.

    This role has arisen due to the expanding needs of the consulting team, and rapid growth of the business in the past 3 years, and the ambitions for the immediate future.

    The successful candidate is likely to be an articulate and capable individual who has experience in market research and strategy consulting.

    They will possess demonstrable excellence in project management and data analysis, and the ability to convert this analysis into a compelling narrative.

    Typical successful candidates in the past have come from masters-level social science programmes at leading universities, followed by a research/consulting role in a commercial organisation, where they have had the opportunity to work in cross-functional teams.

    This role is focused on the creation, management and delivery of market research projects to clients.

    Managing multiple projects simultaneously


    • Designing and writing questionnaires, analysis plans and reports
    • Analysing large quantitative data sets in Excel and/or qualitative interviews
    • Summarising data trends into a narrative that is both succinct and impactful
    • Supporting Project Directors in delivering high level deliverables and debriefing these to clients.
    • Assisting Project Managers with wider team training and supporting Project Executives
    • Improving team efficiencies through process and technical advancement
    • First-hand experience in data analysis, ideally commercial, but advanced education acceptable
    First-hand knowledge and understanding of market or social research practices and techniques, either in an academic or commercial context
    Good working knowledge and experience in qualitative analysis techniques and principles
    Good working knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques and principles
    Ability and confidence to translate research findings into actionable business decisions
    Ability to identify context and drivers to trends that are found in the data
    Advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint
    Superior written and oral communication skills in English

    Strong time management skills
    Market Research Society Advanced Certificate or similar
    Business fluency in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese or Mandarin
    Working knowledge of SPSS, R or Q statistical analysis software
