    Cloud Controls Matrix Manager – Data Controls

    Our Innovation, Data & Analytics team (IDA) is focused on driving innovation by optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model - disrupting the insurance market.

    As Axiom Cloud Controls Matrix Manager,you will be in a key position, reporting to the Axiom Data Security Manager, and will operate in a matrix organization across the IDA, Global Technology, InfoSec, and other control functions.

    You will be responsible to capture customer data protection requirements and convert into actionable data specifications. Success in the role will require expert knowledge of assessing IT systems against industry standards frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the protecting client data in Azure Cloud.

    You will be part of a small team and will lead by example demonstrating your own experience, knowledge, and determination to complete tasks and to improve the maturity and effectiveness of the team.

    You will need strong presentation skills, provide concise, impactful written work, and work with colleagues in extended team meetings in person and via Teams / video conference, in a hybrid / multilocation working environment.As a subject matter expert and, and 'go-to' person for Cloud Controls you will be central to a range of projects and ongoing initiatives in IDA.

    What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Working as part of IDA Data Controls team you will create a Controls self-assessment framework to support the strategic advancement of Axiom (AXA XL's strategic analytics platform).
  • You will have expert experience of assessing end-to-end cloud services maturity to identify control gaps and implement improvement plans to protect AXA XL customer data in this fast-evolving environment.
  • You will establish a Cloud Controls Matrix Roadmap in collaboration with IDA, GT and other stakeholders outlining the 'as-is' position and pathway forward for stakeholder approval.
  • You will be an effective communicator with presentation and negotiation skills to ensure that key stakeholders have a clear understanding of risks to ensure appropriate prioritizing and funding.
  • This role will operate transversally across all business functions, data teams, compliance functions and GT services. Therefore, a highly knowledgeable and seasoned person is required to support this business transformation program.
  • This role requires a 'completer-finisher' to both capture requirements and define work at outset, and then to track progress, and engage key stakeholders through to the completion of the task / project.

    We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Has a passion for continuous improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness gains optimizing process performance to delivery business value. , someone who understands that technology needs effective processes.
  • Working knowledge of NIST, TOGAF, ITIL, ISO 27k, CCM, GDPR, CIFIUS.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud technologies with proven experience of continuous improvement in Cloud environment.
  • Proven business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Experience of '3 Lines of Defence' governance model.
  • Leading knowledge of IT security best practices across the evolving Cloud operating model.
  • Well-established experience in project management, analytical skills & continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Requires a combination of strategic thinking and ability to 'connect the dots' to optimize delivery.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Proven global enterprise experience, leading large-scale projects, programs, and teams.
  • Knowledge of commercial lines insurance would be an advantage.
  • You understand the importance of data and have a passion to be part of a strategic data team. You will demonstrate ability to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders with excellent presentation, communication (in person & written format), and relationship building skills.
