- Work with the management team to develop and implement a commercial sales strategy with the purpose of achieving revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Generate new business leads and seek out new potential enquiries taking the lead on building robust and successful business proposals that secure new contracts and long- term client relationships.
- Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly sales and sales prospecting activity to the senior management team.
- Forecast and track sales metrics (e.g. monthly/quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Update and maintain customer and prospective contacts, internal systems and respond and follow up all sales enquiries.
- Represent the company at sales orientated events, shows, and conferences.
- Stay updated with advancements in solar technology, regulations, and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Proven track record of sales and business development ideally in the renewables/electrical sector.
- Technical sales experience and the ability to grasp complex engineering and understand customer technical requirements.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Board level.
- Strong prospecting and networking skills to identify and engage potential clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the value of our products and services.
- Understanding of solar technology, market trends, regulations, and financial models related to commercial solar projects.
