JobPurpose

Lead and managethe Operational Support Department in covering the roles ofTreasury Administration Data Administration System SecurityInternal Control Functions and Trade and Transaction (T&TR)functions

ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities &Deliverables

Overallresponsibility for the departmental day to day tasks. To manage andcoordinate the team to ensure that the following areas arecovered:

• Internal Controls Performingall reconciliations including Nostro Suspense Stock ReconciliationEMIR and Front Office and Back Office Reconciliation (FOBO).Quarterly Balance Sheet substantiation Conducting TradeSurveillance on Treasury trading activity. Counterparty limitexcess monitoring. FX P&L and position monitoring. TreasuryConfirmation matching. Checking daily rate revaluations in Urbis.
• Trade & Transaction Reporting(T&TR) Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of trade andtransaction data reported to regulators and other authorities.Monitoring the reporting process identifying and resolving anyissues or discrepancies and liaising with internal and externalstakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant rules andstandards. Be expected to keep abreast of regulatory changes andupdates and implement necessary changes to the reporting systemsand procedures i.e. MiFID II EMIR SFTR andCSDR
• Data Administration Management of ClientData Account Data and all other static data including Holiday DataCDs Bonds Currencies Receivables database and SSIs into ABCIBSystems. Unblocking and re blocking of Dormant Sanctioned andOperational accounts. Responding to external AuditRequests.
• System Security Setup and update ofuser access rights in various ABCIB and external systems ensuringthat proper controls including segregation of duty aremaintained.

Accountabilitiesand Deliverables of theRole:

• Monitor andevaluate the effectiveness of Internal Controls Policies andProcedures and Process Maps alignment with Group Standards andPolicies
• Identify and report any gapsweaknesses or violations of regulatory requirements or internalstandards
• Nostro Reconciliation Management(Daily / Monthly Reporting)
• Provide guidanceand support to business units and functions on compliance and riskissues
• Conduct audits reviews andinvestigations as needed
• Implement correctiveactions and improvement plans to address any findings orrecommendations
• Collaborate with internal andexternal stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance and riskawareness
• Vendor management forsystems
• Ensure a prompt and accurate responseto amendment requests to the various core systems includingpassword and access control maintaining adequate audit trials forthe work undertaken
• Implementation of KeyPerformance metrics / capacity planning and SLAs to drive aconsistent rigorous and ongoing assessment of operationalperformance in line with Lean Six Sigma (LSS) standards
• Alignment and standardization of processes forkey products to create one best way / support the delivery of aGroup standard Target Operating Model
• Put inplace a daily performance meeting (and supporting whiteboard withstaff)
• Look to build team selfsufficiency forthe activities including reportingthereof
• Support the Lean Six Sigma (ProcessImprovement) manager in all aspects of The Lean Journey that needsto be delivered in the department including personal and team LSStraining
• Identification and Management of theindividual and departmental Process Improvement Initiatives toreduce costs and improve quality and reporting to the ProcessImprovement Manager
• Maintain current awarenessof the bank and its systems to ensure a questioning approach to theallocation of access permissions on a need only basis and thevalidity of requests for Data Administration and InternalControls
• Manage and oversee recruitmenttraining career development appraisals and competencies of directreports
• Manage the skills matrix and trainingplan to ensure crosstraining is in place enabling adequate coverand seamless service
• Ensure alignment withFinancial Service Compensation Scheme (FSCS)obligations
• Alignment with the imperatives ofBank ABC (SCV) Single Customer Viewproject
• Development and deployment ofoperational best practices using recognized industry concepts e.g.Lean / Six Sigma to increase process efficiency whilst minimizingoperational risks
• Produce relevant managementinformation and KRIs as agreed with Head of Operations and RiskManagement
• Ensure that department staff haveappropriate awareness of risk and compliance issues and that riskpolicies and processes are understood andfollowed
• Be available to support all businessareas in the development of new processes and products includingTreasury (Front and Back office) Front Office Compliance Risk andFinance
• Ensure departmental procedures arecurrent and cover all elements of the Units jobresponsibilities.
• To work with the Europeanbranches to align and centralize functions wherepossible
• Ensure the timely completion of theRisk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) to requisitestandard
• Monthly completion of QualityAssurance Testing (DipTesting)

SupportingResponsibilities TreasuryAdministration:

• Dailynostro reconciliation. Reviewing and promptly resolving anyoutstanding items over the nostro ensuring detailed commentary hasbeen provided and that aging items are promptlyescalated
  
• Monitor and report ontreasury activities and performance
• Analyze andmitigate financial risks such as currency interest rate and creditrisks
• Monitor the Swift GPI tracker for Londonand Paris ensuring compliance to SWIFT GPI and UniversalConfirmation results.
• Monitoring and settlementof margin ensuring that all margin obligations are met for our CSAand GMRA counterparties. Prompt escalation of margindisputes/differences to Treasury and MarketRisk.
• Manage Treasury FX & MMtransactions promptly and accurately ensuring all deals have beenchecked against the dealers Broker/Reuters conversations and have amatching swift confirmation prior to releasingpayments.
• Assist with Interest Rate Swaps andRe PurchaseAgreements

Knowledge

• Strongknowledge of Treasury Operation Products
• StrongT&TR knowledge including EMIR andMiFID.
• Previous banking/ IT and system securityexperience
• Knowledge of ABCIB core systems:URBIS TI and SWIFT
• Broad understanding of thebank and its products and the interrelationship between individualdepartments
• Good general knowledge of ITsecurity requirements and concepts.

Experience

• Minimumof 1015 years experience in Operational Support / TreasuryOperations preferably acquired within an international bankingenvironment in a managerial position
• TeamManagement experience
• Treasury Operationexperience MM IRS FX Bonds and Coupons Nostro Projection /Reconciliation and Payments
• Experience withcollateral management
• Good general knowledge ofthe banking and IT system environment
• Soundworking knowledge of the segregation of duties concept as part ofthe overall control environment within theworkplace
