    and their rigorous adherence to quality standards, underscored by their SALSA accreditation and current goal - BRC accreditation.

    They are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality while fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

    They are looking for someone to join the team as they continue to lead and innovate in the plant-based sector.

    Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Technical Manager to join their team.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving their food safety and quality systems, with the medium-long term goal of achieving BRC accreditation.

    The position involves working closely with their plant-based production team to ensure the highest standards are met. Monitor food safety and quality systems in line with SALSA, while implementing improvements in line with BRC standards.
    Maintain a strong food safety culture and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

    Oversee all aspects of food safety and quality, including but not limited to, ingredient sourcing, production processes, packaging, and distribution.

    Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits by regulatory bodies.
    Manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality ingredients are sourced.
    Lead investigations and root cause analysis for any quality or food safety issues.
    Provide training and support to staff on food safety and quality procedures.
    Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
    ~8+ years of experience in the food industry, in a technical or quality role.
    ~ Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP & BRC.
    ~ Experience working with RTE (ready-to-eat) food products is highly desirable.
    ~ Proven track record of implementing and maintaining food safety and quality systems.
    ~ Experience in plant-based food production is a plus.
