    Description
    IS2 Workforce Solutions is looking for a Senior Wood CNC Machinist/Plant Specialist. A Plant Specialist is responsible for the creation of all detailed custom orders. Custom jamb work and rework requiring use of a variety of Machines including a custom CNC Jamb machine. As experts in their area(s) they are at times, responsible for cross training and new hire training. Plant Specialists help drive the custom department forward.

    someone who can deliver innovative solutions to complex problems and is willing to work overtime occasionally to meet business needs.

    Contribute to and foster a safe work environment by upholding all safety rules and procedures, participating in training, asking questions when unsure, and embracing our Target Zero philosophy.

    Inspect product for defects and work closely with co-workers and quality team members to identify root-causes and corrective actions to maintain Masonite quality standards.

    Perform miscellaneous related duties and carry out special projects as assigned. Respond quickly to production line concerns by solving minor problems and requesting assistance for problems beyond their expertise.
    Operate planers and gang rip saws.
    Maintain downtime records and production information as appropriate.
    Perform quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring manufacturing specifications are achieved.
    Communicate professionally and effectively to support product flow through plant.
    Willingness to help train new employees to the area and help in other areas as needed.
    Knowledge of architectural specifications and wood products.


    CNC Jam machine:
    Use production paperwork and develops the special added value pieces to orders; Preferably three + years' experience in manufacturing setting
    Technical diploma considered an asset
    Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills.
    Excellent attendance record and commitment to your team members, self-motivation, and accountability to safety & quality.
    Knowledge of architectural specifications and wood products.
    Knowledge of door construction, stile and rail, frames, and specialty flush door.
