    Description

    Akoko, a Michelin-starred restaurant, is on the lookout for a passionate and talented Senior Sous Chef to join our team. If you're skilled, motivated, and ready to contribute to our culinary excellence, we want to hear from you.

    As a Senior Sous Chef at Akoko, you will be a key member of our culinary team, assisting the Head Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, and contributing to menu development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth operation.
    • Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
    • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
    • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain high standards of performance.
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and seasonal menus.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and inventory management.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
