    You will receive all the benefits of a full-time staff member, as well as the same robust developmental support to enable to you to be an autonomous practitioner within a supportive locality.

    Extensive Community experience is not essential but you will need to demonstrate that you have an understanding and awareness of autonomous working in the community setting .

    Flexible working (minimum 15 hours per week),

    Band 6 Community Clinical Podiatrist.


    An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified clinician to deliver Podiatric care in a variety of community clinics, hospitals and domiciliary settings throughout Hillingdon.

    We are looking for a Full time Podiatrist to work five (5) days a week.

    You should be an enthusiastic and highly motivated Podiatrist, with the ability to work autonomously delivering patient care including the management of high-risk patients, Biomechanical/Musculoskeletal conditions and Nail Surgery.

    You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and treatment of patients on a daily basis.


    You should be aware of professional and national guidelines, be up to date with current best practice and be able to demonstrate your interest in continued professional development and clinical audits.


    Applications are invited with BSc /Diploma in Podiatry HCPC registered podiatrists with continuous clinical experience in a wide range of podiatry specialisms who are keen to advance their clinical and professional skills.

    We actively encourage CPD, building on sound clinical guidelines.

    Car driver is essential for this post.

    To work in accordance with the College of Podiatry and Health and Care Professions Council Code of Professional Conduct including scope of professional practice2.

    To be responsible for the assessment diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Podiatric care to a variety of patients with a wide range of clinical needs including patients with Diabetes Chronic Neuropathy Chronic disease e.g.

    Rheumatoid Arthritis Vascular problems, Terminally ill patients and patients with Physically/Mental Health/Learning Difficulties3. To identify risk factors and categorise patients into appropriate risk banding. To refer to specialist services as required and be responsible for the production of temporary insoles.

    To perform diabetic assessment review clinics where duties will include:
    providing a comprehensive annual review assessment to including sensory, vascular analysis and biomechanical assessment7. To participate in the departmental nail surgery.

    Degree or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine
    Hold a Certificate in local anaesthesia

    Also having worked in both a team and autonomously managing a caseload with the ability to 'risk categorised patients
    Experience of working across Primary and Secondary care
    Experience of treating a varied caseload of podiatry patients, including those with high-risk conditions

    Involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate student training

    Candidates should have effective organizational skills, as they will be managing their own caseload and also expected to accept responsibility for the day-to-day running of the clinics in which they work
    Skills in assessment, diagnoses and treatment of full range of podiatry clinical skills such as basic wound care, vascular and neurological assessment, nail surgery, basic MSK
    Demonstrate clinical reasoning and decision making skills in the management of podiatric conditions including care planning and evaluation.
    Knowledge of the pathology and treatment for a wide range of podiatric conditions.
    Ability to undertake nails surgery assessments, procedure and post-operative care.
