    Description

    The role

    As a Product Manager in our Monetization team you will spearhead the development and management of our revenue streams including listing fees, value-added services and our innovative peer-to-peer pet payment system.

    This role is crucial for exploring and launching future monetization products and ensuring our platforms meet our ambitious financial goals, while still ensuring marketplace health is not impacted.

    Pet Media Group is a dynamic Stockholm-based scale-up operating marketplaces in the pet category across 6 geographies (UK, SWE, ESP, ITA, NL, CZ). Each year we connect over 1.5 million consumers with pets from experienced breeders. Our mission is to make the pet adoption process more trusted, safe, and convenient using innovative technology. As a company, we have been profitable since our first year, hence we do not rely on investor money for our growth or survival.

    Responsibilities

    • Guide the strategy and conceptual development of all monetization products, with a strong focus on our peer-to-peer pet payment system.
    • Ensure the operational integrity of the payment systems, focusing on user experience, transaction security, and compliance with financial regulations.
    • Design and lead initiatives to boost adoption and sustained engagement with our peer-to-peer payment system. Capitalize on understanding user incentives and competitive advantages.
    • Work closely with senior management to align product strategies with company objectives and user needs.
    • Analyze product performance and market trends to identify opportunities for new revenue streams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy. This includes being actively involved in the agile development process, defining user stories, and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure timely and effective product iterations.
    • Define, analyze and report on the metrics that inform the success of products.

    Requirements

    • At least 4 years' of experience as a Product Manager with a focus on marketplace monetization environments.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High degree of curiosity and an obsession with understanding the end-user.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
    • Ability to work directly with engineers to develop use cases, build inspiring narratives, prioritize features, and evaluate short-term vs. long-term trade-offs.
    • Ability to lead by influence across a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, finance, operational, and business experts.
    • Ability to clearly articulate the story for what problem you're solving for and the vision you're going after, combined with the capacity to dive into minute details when necessary.
    • Knowledge and experience using collaborative tools of the trade (e.g. JIRA, SQL, Google Docs, Scrum, Agile) as well as design/mockup tools (e.g. Figma)
