    Statutory Reporting Manager

    Full Time

    Derby/Hybrid - 3 days on site per week

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Statutory Reporting Manager within the Group Financial Control team. With the support of the businesses, we ensure all external reporting requirements and deadlines are met to a high standard. This includes inputs to the Group Audit Committee, half-year and full-year press release and the Annual Report. We produce the consolidated financial statements for external reporting purposes at the half year and full year and we work with the businesses to co-ordinate and consolidate quarterly Statutory Reporting requirements.

    Reporting directly to the Statutory Reporting Senior Manager, you will be part of the Statutory Reporting Team, responsible for the preparation of the statutory financial statements for a FTSE100 listed group and its non-listed UK subsidiaries, accounting for pensions and share-based payments across the Group and keeping up to date with changes in statutory reporting requirements.

    What you will be doing:

    In this role you will support the preparation of the finance section of the Annual Report and half-year report for Rolls-Royce Holdings plc in line with UK listing rules, including responsibility for producing the Group primary statements, including the cash flow statement and summary funds flow. You will also;
  • Be a key contact with external auditors regarding subsidiary statutory accounting matters and to implement/co-ordinate actions relating to those subsidiary statutory accounts.
  • Work closely with the Group Technical Accounting team to understand new accounting standards and group accounting policies and how these should be reflected in our external reporting.
  • Ensure that group accounting policies and accounting standards are correctly reflected in the Group and subsidiary financial statements.
  • Monitor changes in the requirements for statutory reporting. Ensure that appropriate procedures and tools are implemented to enable the Group to meet its statutory requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing the preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasting for certain Head Office companies.
  • Ensure that any new reporting requirements are interpreted and assessed in relation to the Rolls-Royce financial statements and that current disclosures are compliant with relevant regulations (IFRS/FRS101). Communicate any additional reporting requirements to the business in a meaningful manner.
  • Creating and monitoring the project plan for the half-year and year-end audit and production of the statutory financial statements. Working with the Rolls-Royce Annual Report project manager and the external auditor project manager, ensuring that the project plan remains on track.
  • Focus on delivering process improvements and training as required within the team and across the finance function globally.
