    Job Summary

    Join our team that provides life-saving and life-enhancing treatments in a dynamic environment every single day. If you enjoy offering comprehensive and caring support to patients on a personal level, this role is for you. Our Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS) team delivers a variety of crucial treatments to both adults and children, specializing in conditions such as Sickle Cell Disorder, Haematological Oncology, Renal, and Neurological Conditions.

    No prior experience in Apheresis is necessary, as we offer a 12-week training period that covers all necessary aspects.

    Main duties of the job

    • Performing therapeutic apheresis procedures using state-of-the-art technology.
    • Collaborating with your team to provide top-notch care to patients and donors.
    • Engaging in research projects to enhance clinical practices.
    • Delivering expert treatments within our Therapeutic Apheresis Services (TAS) Unit as well as outreach services for nearby hospitals.
    • Acting as Lead Nurse when needed to provide unit leadership.
    • Participating in a 24-hour on-call schedule for emergency cases in your region.

    About You

    Experience and Knowledge

    • Possess extensive clinical experience in an acute care setting.
    • Capable of guiding professional development through mentorship.
    • Demonstrate prowess in identifying areas for improvement.
    • Show understanding of clinical effectiveness principles and best practices.
    • Familiarity with patient safety initiatives, clinical governance, and risk management.
    • Experience with medical devices and technology.
    • Qualifications and Training

      • Registered Nurse with active Nursing and Midwifery Council registration (RN1 or RNA) and post-registration experience.
      • Degree in a clinical area OR equivalent experience in a specialized clinical field.
      • Evidence of recent post-registration education.
      • Awareness of current nursing issues.
      • Teaching/assessment qualification or relevant experience.
      • Evidence of continuous professional development.
      • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for outreach services.
