    Description

    We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team to support the development of public spaces including parks, play areas and sports facilities.

    The purpose of the role is to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Tower Hamlets and reduce health inequalities by creating places where people can improve their physical and mental health, stay active and connected and enjoy themselves.

    The post holder will work as part of a team supporting the programme manager to deliver a pipeline of capital works at exceptional value for money as well as suggesting priorities for investment over the coming years.

    This role will:

  • Support effective project management and delivery of the capital delivery programme undertaking work of a complex nature working across a variety of different disciplines at both corporate and service level.
  • Lead on project activities, including workshops to build positive relationships with key stakeholders to achieve the council objectives for the capital delivery projects. Working with leads across the council and external partners to support the identification and management of project dependencies, risks, issues and actions.
  • Produce regular progress reports to the Mayor, Councillors, the Chief Executive, Corporate Directors, Project Team, Project Board and Council and Cabinet Meetings on relevant workstreams within the project.
