    Little Flyers Childcare is a well-established family owned group of nurseries and out of school care within Edinburgh and West Lothian.

    We do this by following the Froebelian approach and principles, along with Pedagogy participation and inspired by Hygge.

    All staff at Little Flyers no matter what their title are encouraged to engage in and promote rich learning environments for our children, extensively inside and outside.

    Successful candidate would be expected to

    · Hold an HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent and willing to undertake further training

    · Strong knowledge of GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence, My World Outdoors amongst other local and national guidance

    · A knowledge of Outdoor Education /Forest School would be advantageous- however a passion for working in the outdoors and a willingness to learn is essential.

    · Supporting and developing an enabling environment that is child led using indoors, outdoors, and beyond.

    · Self-motivate and strong outward thinking person to lead and support their team

    · Effective communicator with excellent customer service

    · Be a positive role model to other staff members ensuring delivery of high-quality practice with a passion to meeting the individual needs of all children including those who require additional support for learning

    · Keep up to date with latest practice

    · Be able to display high quality practice and monitor the delivery of rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs.

    · Reliable, honest, and good sense of humour along with a love for charity shops.

    · To oversee observation, planning and assessment with the support of the manager and uploading information on the Famly software app.

    Successful candidates will be subject to positive references, PVG update and required registration with the SSSC.
