    Role Overview:

    Our client is seeking an experienced Investment Specialist/Client portfolio manager to join their team. The Investment Specialist, otherwise known as the EMD Institutional Portfolio Manager (IPM) based in London, plays a pivotal role within our client's Emerging Market Debt (EMD) investment team. This position is responsible for ensuring the alignment of their investment process and implementation with client expectations, while also representing the investment team to clients, prospects, and third parties.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Integrate into the EMD investment team, establishing credibility and respect among colleagues.
    • Enhance and execute the EMD investment process to meet client expectations and industry best practices.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of EMD investment outlook, portfolio strategy, and holdings.
    • Keep a close eye on market trends and the competitive landscape, providing valuable insights to the investment team and organizational stakeholders.
    • Work closely with distribution teams to frame and articulate investment narratives, develop collateral, publish thought leadership, and serve as an EMD subject matter expert.
    • Represent the EMD investment team in direct engagements with clients, prospects, and third parties, offering transparency on economic, market, and investment strategies.
    • Take part in the strategic priorities of the Fixed Income IPM team and the broader department, promoting best practices across the fixed income investment platform.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience engaging with Emerging Market Debt markets and investment processes.
    • Knowledge of generalized fixed income investment markets and global macroeconomic frameworks.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring engagement to diverse audiences with varying levels of investment knowledge.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, build collaborative partnerships, engage proactively within the organization, and successfully execute multi-faceted initiatives.
