    Description

    Senior Buyer | Services | Banking industry - £60, ,000k per annum + hybrid working to Central London office.

    Overview:

    A fantastic Senior Buyer opportunity to support Senior Category professionals and business partner with the relevant departments to provide procurement support in line with Third Party Management frameworks.

    This role requires strong stakeholder management and building those relationships to ensure the TPM framework is truly embedded to minimise risk throughout the procurement cycle and work towards delivering better commercial value.

    What the role involves:

    • Lead procurement activity to support business requirements for new and renewing engagements in line with category strategies.
    • Lead contract negotiations with Third Parties in line with company legislation.
    • Implement value optimisation initiatives with suppliers and business stakeholders.
    • Ownership of issue resolution related to third party engagements.
    • Support Category Leads in implementing sourcing strategies using best practice strategies and measure and track value delivery.
    • Work within the Third-Party Management framework at all times to ensure prudent and practical management of risk.
    • Support supplier relationship management across recommended third-party engagements to maintain commercial value across the full lifecycle.

    The person we hope to find:

    • Strong experience across end to end procurement, leading and managing procurement projects
    • Experience in negotiating contracts with Tier 1 providers
    • Experience within bank/financial service industry would be helpful in this role
    • Indirect/Soft Services/professional services experience
    • Good IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts) and PowerPoint
    • Strong commercial acumen, confident in decision making and with communication with various stakeholders
