    Senior FinanceAssistant

    Salary £26,421 to£28,770 pro rata per annum

    GradeD

    One-year fixed termcontract

    22.5 hours (ideally over 5 days per weekMonday to Friday but open to negotiation).

    Anexciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, small FinanceTeam to assist in the day to day management of the Authority'sfinancial systems.

    The role will be responsiblefor reviewing and checking the work of the Finance Assistants,reconciling control accounts, preparing the quarterly VAT return,monitoring cashflow requirements and producing notes for thestatutory year end accounts.

    Applicants shouldhave experience in a similar role and ideally have an AATqualification. We are looking for a proactive person who is aproblem solver, works well in a team and has good communicationskills via a number of platforms.

    The role willbe a mixture of office and home based. However, while the candidateis new to the role, they will be initially office based. Howeversubject to the candidate successfully completing tasks, the rolewill be split between home and the office. This will be subject toa trial period.
