    Requirements

    Job title - PMO Manager
    Location - London / Hybrid
    Skills - PMO Management experience, stakeholder management, risk and cost management

    Role -

    The primary objective of this role is to expertly manage the portfolio office services aligned to a function. The PMO Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Group variance from budgets within function assigned is within the agreed tolerances, they would ensure that cost overrun rate are within acceptable levels and number of adverse RAG (red, amber, and green) projects are within acceptable the thresholds. The PMO Manager will lead the operational processes, overseeing data analysis, and tooling. They will focus is process improvement, standardising methodologies, and managing stakeholder relations in a collaborative way.

    This role provides strategic support to the Portfolio Director, ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities include overseeing project governance and reporting, risk, and issue management, and offering independent project assurance and coaching to delivery teams. The position also encompasses management of methodologies, systems and tooling, knowledge management, event coordination, and communications. Additionally, it involves maintaining standards, managing people processes including workforce planning, recruitment, career development, and learning initiatives. A strategic approach to portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the broader organisational and portfolio goals is a must.

    The role owner will coordinate and manage communication and progress across various levels, including monthly calls with PPM Academy Apprentices and ad-hoc queries, quarterly strategy and review discussions with Divisional Leads, Mentors, and Line Managers for PM Academy Apprentices, and regular quality and progress check-ins with QA and People and Development team.

    Essential skills / experience -

    Significant PMO Management experience from a fast paced corporate environment
    Experience of mentoring and training junior project management teams
    Risk management experience
    Cost management skills
    Strong stakeholder management skills
