- Play the key role on the annual Group audit, working closely with the audit team and ensuring it is delivered on time and to plan.
- Review all Group and Subsidiary annual financial statements prepared by external advisors on the statutory accounts, and review management accounts as prepared by the finance team/yourself
- Responsible for complex accounting areas to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and suitability of accounting policy.
- Prepare consolidated monthly financials with relevant analysis and review, prepared for the board of directors, shareholders, and executive team.
- Local compliance oversight in each group company regarding filing and taxation requirements including statutory corporate filings, payroll and business registrations, corporate and indirect taxes.
- Optimisation of R&D incentive programme in all relevant jurisdictions.
- Act as key contact to accountants, tax advisors, bankers, auditors and other advisors where appropriate in all locations
- Detailed understanding of the Group Share Options plan including process for and implications of issuing and exercising options in various locations.
- Ensure business wide adherence to procurement/expenditure controls, policies, and processes.
- Ownership of and accountability for day-to-day finance operations in all locations including A/R and A/P.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Finance team.
- Ownership of accounting systems and tools to optimise efficiency and control.
- Develop and carry out initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce time to report.
- Line management responsibilities for our Finance Associate and Group Accountant, as well as working closely with the Head of Finance.
- Ad hoc requirements as directed by the Head of Finance or VP of Business Operations.
- Execute tasks with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
- Identify and rectify discrepancies promptly.
