    Description

    Aptuary is working with a consultancy client in Bermuda, who are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Qualified Actuary to join their Life team in a senior capacity to support leading the life team.

    Role and Responsibilities:
    • Lead large scale client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
    • Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
    • Generate new business opportunities.
    • Demonstrate deep actuarial technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
    • Maintain a reputation as an industry expert by writing articles, taking a leadership role within industry groups and speaking at industry events.

    Professional Qualifications/Experience:

    • Qualified life actuary with significant life insurance industry experience, ideally in consulting
    • A proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects, and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under pressure
    • Excellent analytical and project management skills, along with a creative approach to overcoming challenges
