    Reports to:
    Director / Senior Director

    As New Business Manager, you will have a current and comprehensive knowledge of the UK and global healthcare communications environments and regulations (and/or new business coordination experience in a creative agency environment) and a passion for business development and agency growth.

    In this role you will play an instrumental role in the coordination and management of New Business generation at GCI Health including identification through to pitching, ensuring the GCI Health process is followed with optimal results.

    The role will involve coordination and management of junior and senior team members, both in the UK and globally, coordinating research and information gathering to meet requests for information (RFI) needs/deadlines and request for pitch (RFP) needs/deadlines.

    You will manage the development of integrated and creative communications proposals, from research to brainstorming, content development and budgeting, bringing together input from the wider team as required.

    Prospecting and future lead generation, including strategic planning with the agency and prospect research, will also be important.

    Learning from our new business wins and non-wins is important to improvement, so this role will also involve the coordination of feedback following pitches so learnings can be had from all experiences.

    New Business Management:

    Coordinate and manage the GCI Health London new business process, working alongside and learning from key individuals within the agency.

    Managing and coordinating senior reviews
    Proofreading materials
    Coordination with US new business team to enhance working practices and cohesive processes

    Networking & Business Development:
    You will establish networks of valuable contacts to leverage for business development purposes.

    You will also consistently think about ways to organically grow the GCI Health business and discuss ideas and suggestions with your senior teams.


    Prospecting:

    Work with agency leads to determine areas of focus for future new business and play a hand in proactive prospecting – researching possible areas, companies and contacts and help develop new relationships that could lead to new business opportunities.

    Knowledge Building and

    Personal Development:

    You will maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of the healthcare comms industry, healthcare environment, client organisations, key market sectors and GCI Health Group's business proposition and goals.

    You will also endeavour to attend all relevant training put on by GCI Health group, in the UK and Globally.

    Junior team members look up to you for guidance on how to act in times of stress and how you treat those around you, so you are expected to be a professional and supportive team player in all interactions at GCI Health UK.
