    MSCI Analytics products help our clients to quickly identify key investment insights, risk and performance attribution and analyses across all their portfolios to innovate rapidly, gain a broad view of investment risks and opportunities, and build robust portfolios that seek to deliver better strategic outcomes.The Analytics calculation engines and models are enablers and leveraged across all MSCI business lines to develop and deliver innovations across all products and a wide variety of client segments. We are looking for an expert in client-centric software product development, to lead the Analytics Program Management team and work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Managed Services, Research, Coverage and Marketing to create and deliver our roadmap of innovations and commercial growth of MSCI Analytics products. In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of the commercially prioritized client roadmap for the product. This includes driving key growth opportunities, collaborating closely with Product in identifying and developing new commercial use cases for profitable growth.

    This position is best suited for individuals who thrive in dynamic, complex environments and embody a client first approach. The ideal candidate would have a breath of experience with the right mix of commercial-focus and deep software product understanding, ability to ramp up on new areas, passion for learning, and creativity to imagine new ways of scaling MSCI Analytics product lines.

    Your key responsibilities

    • Own the 'What + Why' – Start with the customer and work backwards, including vision, strategy, long-term goals, customer & market feedback, competitive analysis, success metrics and all aspects of future roadmap, investment, innovation, and experimentation with data driven decisions.
    • Influence the 'How' – Collaborate with peers across MSCI to deliver products & features as committed on time, on budget and at high quality, partner with clients & stakeholders at all levels to assess, initiate, prioritize, refine, and drive product backlogs, create MVP and user stories & acceptance criteria that represent customer requirements, help resolve complex technical trade-offs, and drive innovations to improve Reliability, Availability , Performance, Usability, Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and customer satisfaction (CSAT).
    • Delight Customers – Own & drive requirements for private/public previews/GA, the "Go to Market" plan and measures of success to ensure customer/business goals are met in operational & launch plans, monitor/triage and respond to customer feedback to improve product continuously.
    • Develop and advocate for product vision, build the roadmap, interact with clients to collect feedback, work cross-functionally with design, marketing, customer support, etc. over the product or feature lifecycle, from ideation through launch and beyond.
    • Build and manage partnerships with all key internal and external stakeholders, partners, customers.
    • Define and drive technical delivery of strategic programs.
    • Define and measure program feature success metrics to drive features with business value.
    • Effectively communicate program plans, progress towards business goals and status through reports, reporting back to steering committees and business owners based on business objectives and strategy as identified initially.
    • Build program collateral, requirements specifications, functional and technical design, own & manage the backlog.
    • Drive strategic decisions and execution to help build strategic initiatives to improve customer experience.
    • Additional aspects of the role may include operations or business development or aligning multiple internal business or development teams.

    Your skills and experience that will help you excel

    • Degree in computer science or related technical, math, or scientific field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Deep experience in owning and driving the 'What & Why,' technical depth to influence the 'How,' driving execution across globally matrixed teams, making reversible decisions and critical trade-offs.
    • Experience in defining success metrics & outcomes and making data driven decisions to influence feature priorities.
    • Experience working with clients, technical teams, and management to collect and translate customer/business needs into detailed product requirements and functional/technical specs
    • Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle, Alibaba, ...) used as the technology building blocks
    • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, specifically writing skills and formal presentation skills to engineers, leadership team, non-technical partners, and customers.
    • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
    • Experience working on agile development teams.
    • Passion for all things Data and Machine Learning. Strong track record of shaping business strategy for technical data products or data services.
    • Track record of problem solving and using pilot programs, prototypes, and growth hacking approaches.
    • Experience in collaboration around building visions, driving execution, making critical tradeoffs.
    • Hands-on experience in leading teams to deliver cloud services and scalable platforms
    • Deep collaboration skills and experience in partnering with other internal teams for cross-group dependencies
    • Experience delivering and maintaining highly available large-scale systems
    • Proven track record in business/product management roles
