    We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data Team. The role is delivery focused and will involve working with various levels of management within the business to design and develop reports that contain management information requested. This will require the need to interpret complex processes, produce high quality output and analysis, anticipating stakeholder needs.

    Work with the business to map out MI requirements and ensure the relevance and accuracy of delivered reports

  • Work within the Business Intelligence team to design, build and maintain Power BI reports
  • Maintain the reporting environment, including administration of report scheduling to ensure production and distribution of timely and accurate client and organisational reports
  • Design and implement fit for purpose reporting solutions that meet the needs of the business and are delivered to time and budget
  • Work with Data Engineers to maintain and query data marts in the Azure Data Lake
  • Produce gap analysis on existing MI reporting and lead projects to integrate different data sources to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Work with other colleagues around the group in supporting data led projects and initiatives
  • Meet Business As Usual commitments
  • Maintain stories (description and acceptance criteria) within DevOps
  • Provide cover for the Business Intelligence Developers
  • Maintain appropriate documentation
  • Ensure reports and data held is compliant with regulation, including GDPR and data protection rules
  • Your Profile

    Technical skills and experience

  • Experience (3 years desirable) with Management Information, Reporting or Data Analysis
  • Experience with SQL and and familiarity with Data Warehousing and Azure Data Lake technologies
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting technologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Desirable knowledge & experience of SharePoint in a reporting environment
  • Desirable familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Desirable knowledge and experience of the Insurance services sector
  • Interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter with desire to continuously improve
  • Proactive in finding ways to solve reporting challenges
  • Accustomed to working with distributed teams, including international teams
  • Builds constructive working relationships across organisational boundaries and irrespective of reporting lines
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to perform effectively in ambiguous situations
