    Description

    Experienced Senior Contracts Adviser required by an independent E&P company, on a contract basis until the end of the year (with potential for extension).

    As Senior Contracts Adviser, you'll oversee the execution of the complete Category Management and Contracting Process, including contract strategy, tactics and contract management activities.

    Operating effectively across multiple and complex internal business/functional interfaces, often at a senior level, and is recognised by internal customers, peers and suppliers as a seasoned professional.

    Confidently dealing with suppliers up to and at senior levels as required.

    Building strong and effective relationships with internal customers and is seen as an integral part of their Business Team.

    As a result of the relatively high level of professional expertise, operating with considerable autonomy within the organisations Supply Chain Policy and framework.

    Developing and implementing commercial solutions which:

    Developing and implementing high quality documentation for bidding, evaluation, negotiation, award and post award management for all contracts in portfolio in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Drafting and developing Contracts and Contract Amendments including robust Contract Management Plans, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required.

    Ensuring implementation of Contractor HSES practices in close liaison with Technical Owners.

    Acting as the primary liaison between C&P, legal, insurance and other risk structure functions, filtering and dealing with most day-to-day matters so functional involvement is only required for more substantive items.

    Identifying and understanding commercial needs from internal stakeholders and collaboratively proposing solutions that take account of market conditions, risks and business drivers.

    Leading supplier relationships effectively and collaboratively drives continuous performance improvement.
    Building and maintaining strong network in the market, being fully aware of forthcoming opportunities and supplier developments.

    Experience in preparing Category Plans, ITTs and drafting contract documents and award recommendations etc, within the contracts and procurement function preferably within the energy industry.

    Appreciation of the technical aspects of offshore operations.
    Proven experience in contract negotiations and complex tender evaluation.
    Experience in contract management and developing supplier relationships, delivering benefits through collaborative working.
    Able to lead a multi-functional team for a procurement project.
    Applies analytical skills to commercial projects.
