    Description

    You will have the opportunity to influencethe longterm strategy of the clinical supply chain and represent RDSupply Chain at PTD and Global project teams. This role offers thechance to lead a multifunctional team to drive strategy and managesupply chain performance through key performanceindicators.

    What youlldo:

    As a CSPL you will beaccountable for the development and performance of clinical supplychains owning the endtoend supply of products in the developmentportfolio. You will monitor the performance of the supply chain andoptimize for higher volume phases of the project balancing speedquality and cost with respect to the agreed level of risk. You willlead the Supply Chain Team (SCT) which is accountable fordeveloping and maintaining the supply plan for the program. Youwill also be responsible for managing a significant budget forsupply activities and materials for theproject.

    Responsibilities willinclude:

    • Influencingthe design phase with relevant experts to drive an optimized supplychain design with respect to quality risk and cost for thebusiness
    • Working in conjunction with theSupply Chain planner to guarantee: Balancing Short to MidtermSupply and Demand Inventory Management input into DOP Processplanning Excellence Process Requirements SS Master DataManagement
    • Overall endorsement of the supplyplan
    • Maintaining appropriate information forsupply activities in PLANIT in line with RBU.
    • Ensuring ongoing supply through transition fromdevelopment sources to commercial sources ofmanufacture.
    • Managing change in demand andsupply resolve issues escalating when appropriate.
    • Understanding and acting according to GxP andunderstanding the impact it has on supply chainactivities.
    • Ensuring timely delivery ofinformation to meet internal and external regulatory and legalrequirements.
    • Working with CSSLs to resolveissues share standard processes and continually developcompetence.
    • Promoting supply chain practice inPTD and interfacing functions
    • Beingresponsible for introducing innovation into the Supply chainensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Taking lead in motivating others within the function andcommunicating the Supply Chain strategies.
    • Taking responsibility for handling issues and makingcomplex tradeoffs with both internal and external partners. Thiswill require well developed conceptual and analytical thinking tomake complex judgements and deliver innovativesolutions.
    • Acting as a sponsor to support andmanage the implementation of supply chain change and be the 1stpoint of contract for Senior Stakeholders within theorganizations.

    EssentialSkills/Experience:

    • Minimum education BSc or equivalent in a relevant subjectarea
    • Indepth knowledge of supply chains anddrug development process.
    • Indepth knowledge ofClinical Development processes relevant to investigationalproducts.
    • Awareness of GXP Standards within aClinical environment.
    • Demand management andforecasting experience.
    • Indepth experience ofproject management and influencing and leading business partnerrelationships.
    • Proficient IT skills with anability to adapt and operate in multiple systems.
    • Strong influencing negotiating and problemsolving skillsacross geographical and culturalboundaries.

    DesirableSkills/Experience:

    • Working knowledge of the Clinical Trial Directive andglobal regulatory environment impacting the provision ofinvestigational products.
