    Description

    Job Overview:
    As a Senior Credit Control Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in our credit management team, directly influencing cash flow and debtor management strategies. This position requires a high level of precision and expertise in managing complex accounts and leading process improvements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the management and strategic follow-up of high-priority customer accounts to ensure compliance with contractual payment terms.
    • Design and implement payment plans; negotiate and monitor adherence to these plans, escalating issues as necessary to the Customer Accounts Manager.
    • Oversee the accurate processing of financial transactions including direct debits, BACS, and cheques, ensuring meticulous cash allocation.
    • Conduct thorough audits of the sales ledger, drive the maintenance of account accuracy, and spearhead debtor analysis initiatives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales, Service Delivery, and Fleet Management to preempt billing disputes and enhance the payment cycle.
    • Develop and deliver detailed financial reports to senior management, providing insights and action plans to optimize credit control functions.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in credit control or a related financial role, with a proven track record of improving account receivables.
    • Exceptional analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
    • Superior communication skills, capable of negotiating effectively and building strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
    • High proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
