Private Client Solicitor

Our Bristol based independent law firm is looking for a talented and motivated Private ClientSolicitor with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join the team at their reputable law firm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from the larger firms and the chargeable hours model, creating abetter work/life balance.

They are a small team, but with extensive experience between them. Their ethos is to provide astraightforward, honest and plain-speaking service.

Their services cover a wide-range of cross-borderlegal issues such as corporate law, criminal law, debt collection, employment law, family law, willsand probate, and property law.

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and assistanceto clients, safeguarding client interests and ensuring their affairs are managed effectively.

The role what you will be doing:
Manage a caseload of private client matters, primarily focusing on probate and estate administration.
Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on all aspects of probate, wills, and estate planning.
Handle complex probate cases efficiently, including those involving high net worth estates, trusts, and tax planning.
Assist clients with drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney, and other related documents.

Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in probate cases to ensure effective communication and understanding of legal processes.

Represent clients in contentious probate matters, including disputes over wills, inheritance, and estate administration.
Negotiate settlements and, when necessary, represent clients in court proceedings related to contentious probate cases.

Collaborate with other members of the private client team and provide support and guidance to junior colleagues when required.

The ideal candidate:
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in private client law.
Strong experience in probate and estate administration, including handling complex cases.
Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Wills Act, Trusts Law, and Inheritance Act.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
Experienced in contentious probate matters, with a proven track record of successfully resolving disputes.
A member of the Law Society and Private Client Section (desirable).
You'll do great in this role if you're: Detail-orientated with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Member of the Law Societys Private Client Section (desirable).
Committed to providing exceptional client service and maintaining high professional standards.

Proactive in conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in legislation and case law affecting private client matters.

Salary and benefits:
Salary £30k-£40k
Hours 9-5 pm office based
