The company is a leading manufacturer of sustainable packaging including plastic and rigid paperboard, offering packaging solutions to the industrial, consumer and healthcare markets.

They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team paying up to £30,000pa depending on experience.

Finance Assistant

Job Role of the Finance Assistant:

To provide effective financial management in line with business and regulatory requirements, supporting the Team Lead Accounting Finance and divisional finance managers/ Senior Managers and Suppliers across various Divisions across UK and Europe (primarily accounts payable)

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger (includes po matching, coding and processing invoices)

Performing supplier statement reconciliations
Performing weekly payment runs to suppliers
Key control account reconciliation process
Supporting the finance team with various administrative tasks
Providing audit information for both internal and external auditors
Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
Reconciliation and coordination of payment of travel /expenses
Be an ambassador of company culture and values, maintaining a people centric culture
Timely completion of documents and data entry, all supporting documents including spreadsheets kept up to date
All system data / spreadsheets kept up to date
All accounting postings carried out in an efficient and accurate manner

Key Skills of the Finance Assistant:

Creative, Innovative individuals with the ability to think outside the box.
Experience of using Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word
Languages: English plus German and / or French
1-2 years finance/accounting experience will be considered, with at least 1 year in Accounts Payable

Knowledge and experience with the following finance systems: Oracle, Basware, Coupa, Chrome River

30,000pa depending on experience 25 days annual leave pro rata plus Bank Holidays, a generous contributory pension scheme of matched contributions up to 11%.
